The world wakes up to the Indian Phut Phutee

A fleet of 12 three-wheeled 'tuk-tuk' cabs have begun their service in Brighton.

The cabs will operate on a fixed route between Brighton station, Brighton marina and Hove.

The Tuk-tuk is now considered as a low-cost, convenient, eco-friendly and congestion-beating alternative to buses and taxis.

If the fleet proves successful in Brighton, its operators - holders of the first 'tuk-tuk' licence outside Asia - hope to start similar schemes in other British cities. Read report
