Most Indians want to be reborn in India

Given a choice, most Indians would like to be born as Indians again. In an exclusive poll by The Times of India, nearly 90% of people in five metros — Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad — opted to be Indians in a hypothetical next birth.

The poll was conducted among those in the 18-35 age group, and their overwhelming preference for India was across religious and gender divides.

After 'unity in diversity' the second big reason for staying with India in the next life was the country’s 'rich spiritual heritage'.
