Kathuria has plans for space travel

New Delhi-born Chirinjeev Kathuria is chairman of PlanetSpace, a consortium of new age space companies, that aims to send teachers, tourists and cargo into space. They also hope to build a replacement for the space shuttle that NASA plans to retire by 2010.

Kathuria's plan is to have a launch vehicle ready in the next 24 months, take tourists into space by 2008, create an orbital vehicle to take crew and cargo to the space station by 2009 and create a space airline by 2010-2012 that will transport passengers from Chicago to Delhi in 40 minutes.
