Mastan Babu conquers mountain peaks


When people his age and intelligence are busy climbing and slipping on the corporate ladder, Malli Mastan Babu, a IIT-Kharagpur and IIM-Kolkata alumni has set the world record for conquering the highest peaks of all the seven continents in the shortest time.

Babu started off his unique adventure with the ascent of Mount Vinson Massif, the tallest peak in Antarctica on January 19, 2006. In fact he is the first Indian to climb the peak. He completed his feat with the climbing of Mt. Denali in North America on July 10, 2006.
