Andhra Palli Chutney: Andhra Recipe

Andhra Palli Chutney

What you need:

100 gms fried Ground nuts
Dry coconut 1 inch (or raw coconut 1 inch fry in 1/2 tbl spoon oil)
1tbl spoon Musturd seeds
1tbl spoon Moong dal
1tbl spoon Chana dal
5 nos Red Chillies
A pinch Hing (Asafoetida)
1-2 cloves Garlic
A small size Onion
Tamarind a small piece(grape size ball)
Salt to taste.

How to prepare Andhra Palli Chutney:

Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan when hot add mustard seeds till it pops.
Add chana dal, moong dal.
Fry till golden brown comes. Add red chillies and fry till chillies are brown.
Add salt to taste. Keep it aside to cool.
After some time, transfer all the contents from pan to blender, add garlic, tamarind and grind.
When it is half-ground, add fried groundnuts and little water and mix well.
Frequently check the consistency by addding few spoons of water and mixing the ingredients uniformly.
When it is neither too soft nor too coarse. When about to remove add small cut onion pieces and just mix well. Do not ground into paste.
Now your Andhra Palli Chutney is ready.
