Pallavi Fauzdar crosses 8 Himalayan passes

Pallavi Fauzdar, 35, from New Delhi would be the first woman to pass 8 of Himalayan mountain passes, 5,000 above sea level and has entered the Limca Book of records.

Born in Agra and married to an Army man Parikshit Misra, Pallavi is a fashion-designer by profession. But when she is not engaged in designing jewellery, she is working on routes and ways to invade new territories. She has now become the first woman to have ridden across so many Himalayan passes.

She completed her next venture of travelling across the Himalayas in 16 days and crossing through passes that even men haven't.

She had two main agendas behind this expedition-one to prove that women can travel alone and do not need anyone's help or guidance, second to show that nothing is unachievable for women.
