Mangaluru couple plan road adventure crossing 40 countries

Louis D'Souza 61 and Janet D'Souza, 55 from Mangaluru in Karnataka are all set to travel to forty countries and 50,000 kilometers in six months. It is a journey of a lifetime that they couldn't resist.

The couple will begin their trip on May 20 and feel that age should not be a hurdle for anything. It is their love of exploration and their courage and confidence which is leading them to this adventure.

The couple are active in the logistics business and their decision to travel across the world was inspired by a similar expedition taken by the family of Anand Baid who travelled by road from Bengaluru to Paris covering 12 countries in 111 days.

They contacted the Anand Baid family and recieved some tips from them and began a research to do their life's journey, as they call it.

The journey will also help White Doves, a Mangaluru-based NGO working for the destitute, and Mumbai-based Muskan Foundation for People with Disabilities as they are likely to get money for from the Souza family after the trip.
